Hi, I'm Ann Myrick, and today I'm going to show you how to clean a toilet. What you want
to do first is, you want to- we're going to do the whole toilet, so what you want to do
first is, you want to just come with a paper towel, and then just get- anything that's
loose, you want to get up off the toilet, and then you start with the top of the toilet.
And there are many products out there you can use, I'm just going to use a spray like
Fantastic or 409, and I'm just going to spray. You want to be sure and hit where the seat
is joined, there's a lot of times dirt, and urine will get into those cracks, so you just
want to give a really good spray to the top, you also don't want to miss the base of the
toilet, going all the way around, up in all the cracks, and then with a sponge or paper
towel, and I'm going to dip my paper towel, and just start, I'm going clean the top, and
then go around the base, I'm just going to go all the way around. You want to clean the
seat, the bottom of the seat around the bowl, and then I'm just going to throw this dirty
one in the bucket and start with a clean one, and do the same thing down in the base. Then
you want to rinse, and really get all- you want to be sure that you get all the soap
or the chemical off your toilet. Then with- I like using a powder when I do the bowl,
and that way the cleaner will cling to the water and cling to the walls of the toilet,
and then you just go around, starting with the back, and you want to be sure that you
get up around the ridge,
you flush. And you might want to flush several times, and then with the clean water that
comes in, I just like to take it to be sure that I don't have any residue of soap, and
then going back and drying the seat, the bowl, and you now have a clean toilet. This is Ann
Myrick, and that is how you clean a toilet.
