Prior to stepping on the disc we need to understand how to mount the disc safely. Go ahead and
just kind of rotate the disc, keep on foot stable and get your body familiar with the
rotational component. So what we want to do is basically understand that when you are
standing on the disc at any time you could actually be in a situation where you need
to stop the disc. If you can't stop the disc you need to learn how jump off and protect
yourself from any injury. When starting with vibe it is important to start off at a zero
degrees challenge level and progressively work yourself up as you get more comfortable
to a maximum slope of 12 degrees. So we are going to start off again with Kathleen we
are at zero degrees but we are going to move it up to 5 degrees and when on a incline we
are going to make sure when you mount the disc you step on facing up. So Kathleen is
going to step up with her right foot and immediately step up with her left foot and hold position
and turn. She is going to try to hold position. I'm turning. Okay she is going to jump off
with both feet and straddle it and that kind of gives you a idea how to protect yourself
while you are rotating and when you lose control it is better not to fight it and just ump
off. Starting out with vibe you got to make sure you have enough room and clear and open
space so you have enough area to jump off safely.
