As we do letters that are composed of diagonals and rounds, oval sections, sometimes we sort
of lose site of the slant that is characteristic of Italic. So now might be a good time to
revisit the slant. And to look at some letters that the slant is very apparent in so when
we do the straight letters like I, H, E, we can see that a slant exists. Do an F. All
of these letters are slanting, tipping forward. And, again, with the oval letters, sometimes
we don't think of that. But it is there, none the less. And we think about the axis as tipping
forward. And even on some of the letters that have rounds, they have a spine that tips forward.
I am just writing nonsense here.
