恭喜发财! [gōng xǐ fā cái]. Chinese New Year is the biggest celebration in China.
To foreigners, this is a good opportunity to learn about Chinese culture and traditions.
During Chinese New Year, people greet one another with lots of phrases that carry wishes
of health and wealth. In Chinese, we call these phrases吉祥话 [ Jí xiáng huà ]
[jí xiáng] means "lucky" and [huà] means "words"or "sayings".
Today, I will teach you a commonly used greeting phrase - 恭喜发财 [gōng xǐ fā cái],
