Let's review... Add salt, pepper, brown sugar and about 1/2 a sick of butter to your ham. Once your seasonings have been sprinkled onto the ham, take your fingers and rub the ingredients into the ham. To create the glaze for your ham use onions, garlic, brown sugar and butter. Boil the glaze ingredients on the stove until frothy and bubbly. Then slice your ham as deeply as you can, as close to the bone as you can. Generously add your glaze to the ham, and be sure to get plenty of glaze between the slices that your cut and be sure to let your ham cook for no less than 45 minutes - one hourse per weight of the ham ( a 2 pound ham would cook about two hours. You may continue to add glaze to your ham while it is cooking. Try not to get glaze onto the top of the ham, get a basting tool or a cooking paint brush to apply more glaze. Don't forget to ask for help with the ham if you are not sure what to do, or if the ham is too heavy to lift. Once the ham has cooked for half the time cut up your potatos carrots or other vegetables and add to bottom of the pan. This helps flavor your vegetables.
