Hello everyone! We need to wish you all a fond farewell,
and we want to thank you for being in this class. It's always an amazing opportunity
for all of us to come together from all over the world and learn about writing
in English, and editing, and everything else that we've covered this
term, or in this class. It's been amazing, so thank you
for everything. We really appreciate it.
Let's talk about certificates -- thank you! Ha ha.
Certificates will take a little bit longer than you would think. You'd think
it was a simple process. We run our grades. Then Coursera
has to run the grades again behind the scenes to double check things,
so that will take between week and 10 days, but
we will email you when those are available, so you'll get an email from us letting you know
when your lovely certificates are ready. And remember too the
course stays open. You've signed up for it, so you have
24 hour a day access to the course, so
if there's something you want to review, if there's something you didn't fully understand,
the videos are available. The quizzes are available. The texts are available.
It's all available if and when you want to go back and
take a look. There is also a discussion forum that we leave open.
It will open up on Monday for continued conversations about
grammar, talking to each other, staying in contact. Alright.
And then we will --our plan right now is to teach the class again in June. I forgot that part!
That's OK -- is to teach the class again in June. Sign up for the watch list. You will be able to
see the date and get a notification, or just keep checking Coursera
because there are a lot of other courses that you might want to take as well in the meantime.
So, um, we just need to give a HUGE thank you,
first of all, to our community TA's. Yeah. Yay! Thank y'all so very much!
These individuals -- we could not do this course without them, and
so be sure to thank them. We love these people! We wish they could be here at our
college
on a regular basis, but thank you again to all of you!
And thanks to Pat James who has been our technical support this
time around. She has done a great job catching everything
we missed -- yeah -- or needed to fix. Exactly! And hopefully you guys will get to meet her
next time around. We also want to thank the Gates Foundation grant for making this course
possible -- the production of it -- and finally, our college, Mount San Jacinto
College, for helping us to continue to do this.
Y'all be well! Take care of each other.
We'll see you again. Bye. That was good. Farewell, and we'll see you next time
if our paths don't cross before then.
