Any breathing exercises actually can be great in the Spring time. It helps to clear the
nasal passages and also strengthen the lungs from a lot of sitting around in Winter. So,
after that kapalabhati breathing, if you would like to follow up with a technique called
viloma, which is just an alternate nostril breath technique. It's really great to balance
the two sides of the body, the two hemispheres of the brain. So, you simply fold down the
first and second finger of the right hand. And, you'll use the thumb and the ring finger
alternately to close and open the right and left nostril as we breath in the two different
sides of the nose. So, you would start with an exhalation, closing off the right nostril,
inhaling through the left. Closing off the left, exhaling out the right. Inhaling through
the right. And then exhaling the left.
And, so on and you can make the breaths as long, as slow, as deep as you would like,
or you can go quickly. And, you'll notice I pinched off the nostril above the nostril
flare and it'll little bit easier to seal off the passage way completely.
