Hiya! How are you doing?
As for me, I could be doing better...
I have a new tenant in my house...And this is the kind you'd like to kick out rather than welcoming her...
'Cause you, trying to be good person, do your best when you meet someone new, doing your best to get along with her...
But oh boy, is she hopeless!
On top of that, there's no way to sleep with the parties she hosts at night...
But what takes the cake is her name...
...SCIATICA...
Son of a...
Yup, I have sciatica...
(Educational break) If you don't know what sciatica is, it can be caused by the irritation/compression of the sciatic nerve, located in the back.
It's the biggest and widest nerve we have, extending to the *damned* legs...
...In my case, causing me a pain worth "seeing stars" (spanish expression)
In fact, last night I could've sworn I spotted a galaxy with pair of planets with intelligent life...
I can't handle this anymore, I can't!
So I delineated the part of my body that hurts the most, as you're going to see...
Here it is... It's pretty much a cut-out...
And now I'm going to autoamputate. Since cuts are so fashionable nowadays (mostly political wise), I'm going to follow the trend!
Now a question comes up: what tool am I going to use for this?
Some people say I'm a bit soft, maybe the butter knife would do...
I'd rather use this meat knife... Butter's just ridiculous...
Thinking about it... I'm going to follow the tip from the girl of the Jes Extender Ad (I LIKE 'EM BIG!).
Yup, I'm going to use a better and BIGGER one >:D
Now I just have to start from here and...
Nah, I'm not that mad. : )
...Even if have to take from time to time some medicines...
What I really wanted to talk about in this video is quite different from this...
There's a thing I secretly enjoy, that is to find and improve the artistic part of the people around me, moreover if that involves what I like the most, photography and/or illustration.
So in this new video I'd like to expand your artistic creativity a little.
There's a thing that has helped me a lot with that, that's having a notebook with me as much as possible! Some people write down their thoughts and ideas there (I usually use them for drawing).
Think about when you just dreamt something wonderful and original, but it all got lost minutes later after waking up because you didn't write it down...
I recommend having one a lot! In fact, I'm going to show you a tiny bit of the first one I got...
Before this I used to lose everything, it was all scattered in lots of pieces of paper...
Here I have lots and lots of drawings (and writings) from me and my friends, some of which I'll probably never meet again...
But everything is still here, so I check them all from time to time and it keeps me inspired to do new works. :)
Talking about photography, it's funny since now everyone could be a good photographer. Almost everyone has a camera in their house, it doesn't matter if it's expensive or not for starting...
What matters is your sensibility, being able to capture beautiful images...
Sometimes it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time, who knows!
So if you have a camera lying in your house, don't just take pictures with it drunk with your friends when hanging out!
So try every mode the camera has and take lots, lots of pictures with it. If you feel uninspired, there are many sites I can recommend to you...
...taking up references. Sometimes you can imitate some works you like to improve your technique...
alala
I'm going to put some here. These are some of the ones I check, but there are many and very similar ones around the net.
Even if you feel inspired, it's good to see other people's work, so I recommend that you check them often.
It's a shame that I can't talk as much as I'd like about writing and music, since they're not really my fields, but still I think it's not that different from this.
Oh, one more thing. Concerning style, don't try to set labels to yours and keep inside your box. Only professionals are able to do that...
They've already tried different stuff until they've found their own way to make things work. If you keep doing things the same way from the beginning...
...Chances are, you're hardly going to improve. So if for example, you usually draw big manga eyes, try drawing more realistic ones, or very little ones, have fun!
The truth is that I could talk a lot about this because I really enjoy doing so...
(Pancho being Pancho) I enjoy encouraging people to this kind of stuff. But I don't want this video to be long and boring so I'm keeping some stuff for the next ones.
So that's all, see you soon!
