Welcome to another SCDTV Review Division for Gunfire
Today we're going to talk about M4 from WE
M4 by WE is a full metal aeg
of decent quality
frontgrip, stock and pistol grip are plastic
the outer barrel is metal too although is has a different, uglier, texture than the receiver
carrying handle is metal
nice flashhider
looks good despite wobbling
on this side we've got a dummy bolt
with a bolt release system as seen in King Arms replicas
unfortunately, this replica doesn't have any real markings
but we've got this Navy Seal's skullfrog and WE logo
it's a pity
the replica is built like G&P's ones
it doesn't break in half like ICS, KWA or old TM
but by pushing the front pin out we can disassemble it
the aeg is quite well adjusted
however is has the same little wobble on the receiver which is characteristic to G&P models
but it's not a big deal
dummy bolt could be nicer
let's look again at the working bolt catch
you have to hit it hard to work
front grip, as in every m4, wobbles a little
the same thing with the stock
the wobble is within normal limits
the aeg has a two-part barrel
which can be shortened...and that's all
replica comes with a 300rd hicap magazine
soon we'll check how it feeds
but, as usual, we prefare other magazines like mid or low caps
here we've got Magpul's Emag 120rd
feeds and fits perfectly
hopup chamber is a standard one
it's plastic and transparent
so far, we didn't have issues with it
what we said describes billions of M4 on the airsoft market
to make it's replica a little different
WE designed this unique feature
when we select SAFE
the spring is released
mechanizm similat to that from ICS but there we had to puch the forward assist
here, we just have to select SAFE
and we know that the spring is released
this feature caused problems in ICS especially during winter
today it's warm and I hope nothing bad will happen
it's a very unique feature that differentiates WE M4 from others on the market
we've installed a 7.4 lipo battery
WE states that the replica is lipo-ready so using 11.1 won't damage it
however, on a good 7.4 the trigger response is good
there's no need to go extreme unless you are a fan of high rof
let's check how accurate is the new toy from WE
our frienldy Russian guy is standing at 40metres
we'll be using 0.25 Gunfire Rockets bbs
let'*** the Russian
how the accuracy?
pretty good, almost every bb hit the target
mostly in the chest
where were you hit? variuosly, mostly in the chest
sometimes in my privy parts
[Irek] did it hurt? [Adi] yes [Irek] perfect
now, let's check the speed at which bbs left the barrel
so as to hit Adi's privy parts
numbers appearing that do not shot the fps are some kind of control numbers... bite me, I have no idea what they wanted to control :D
we've tested to power using 0.20 GFC Rockets
quite stable and powerful fps right out of the box
let's look at the battery compartment
the battery is stored in the front handguard
here's the fuse
and the mini plug
we've installed a 7.4V, 2400mAh, 20C, I think, lipo
rof and trigger response are both satisfactory
without using any mosfet unit
our aeg comes with a 300rd hicap magazine
let's check how many bbs it can shoot on one full winding
empty
let's check what's responsible for those nice sounds
inside we've got a modified version 2 gearbox that allowed WE to adopt their unique solutions
i.e. spring realease and dummy bolt release mechanisms
which goes through the gearbox
spring release mechanism is connected with fire selector
the rest are TM standard parts
we've got steel gears
polycarbon piston with a tip with directional valves
a sealed cylinder's head
assures piston head amortisation
this configuration gives decent sealing
which you witnessed during our chrono test
the gearbox has 8mm bearings
what's important is the fact that the whole construction is well built
and enables high-power upgrade
guys from Gunfire told us about their endurance tests
they've installed JBU M120 spring
and shot 3000bb
unfortunatelly they had to change the engine as the first one started smoking
then a high-torque one was installed and another 3000bbs shot
gear box was opened but didn't show any signs of wear
Next, an LCT M150 was installed and approx 1500bb fired using single fire mode
after that, another 1500bbs were fired this time using more auto mode
gb was opened again, everything checked, closed and another 3000bbs fired
at the end, the gb was again opened
and, again, it showed no wear
and could easily shoot another milliards of bbs
photos you see were taken after the tests
as it's an M4 so it's ready to take various additional accessories
we've installed an original Knight's Armament RAS
fits perfectly
the fuse is thick so you have to stuff it
of course, than we need a battery box like this peq15 or older peq2
we've got a flashlight for show
it's an Elements copy of M952V
vertical grip to have a more comfortable grasp
top rail is a bit narrow, just like in G&P
my 553 QD, surprisingly, fits quite well no wobble
ARMS rear sight copy has a significant wobble
well, you can't have everything
and a nice EMAG, feeds and fits perfectly
and with a pimped M4 you can show off
until this year WE has been known for it's gas blowback replicas
which turned out variously
now, they enter the aeg world
and it's not bad
decently looking M4, nothing special but good materials of the receiver
really good plastic
maybe the outer barrel is ugly
but the only disadventage is lack of original markings
but not every one can be at the mercy of Cybergun
the best is inside the beasts are the gears :D
assemble and sealing is really great
shoots great out of the box
and a lot of upgrading potential
for the price of 900PLN it's an option to consider
it stands out from the crowd with the spring and dummy bolt release mechanisms
and it might compete with a very popular M4 from a well known American-Thai producer
