So before you get started with massage, it's really important that you're relaxed. As the
person giving massage, you need to be relaxed. If you are stressed out, if you had a lot
of things going on all the rest of the day or the week or anything that causes you stress
or tension. Any of these, will come right through your hands and you child will feel
it. So it's important that we relax before we get started with massage. So we're going
to go ahead now and take a moment to do that. "Riley would you like to relax with me"? "Yeah".
"Okay, let's put down your game and get ready". We're going to do something simple to relax
together, but it's important that you find those things help you to relax. So you're
relaxation time could be anything that works for you. Together we're going to do something
simple and give you an idea. So we'll start, we'll sit up, drop our shoulders. "Put your
shoulders bounce them down". Here we go. Relax and take some deep breath send through your
nose and blow it out through your mouth. And if you want to, you can close your eyes, you
can leave them open, it's up to you. Let's do another deep breath. We're going to roll
our shoulders all the way up and then back. We'll do that three times, push them way up
high and all the way back. And forward, way up high, then roll them forward. There we
go, three times. I think we should also roll our head. So roll to the side, all the way
down and around and back. Roll it back. Good. Side to side. And bring your shoulders all
the way up and drop them. Shake it out. Make sure they're nice and relax. Make sure your
hands are loose, your arms are loose, everything nice and relax. Let's do one more deep breath
then and out. And we're ready to start our massage.
