Sublimating an image onto a polyester coated ceramic tile
Create your design using the supplier template and print
Set the heat press to 200 degrees C and the timer to 8 minutes
Use a heat resistant felt pad on the heat press base. This ideally needs to be 6mm thick
Place the transfer image up onto the felt base
Place the tile face down onto the transfer
The design should be slightly larger than the tile so part of the image can be seen all the way around the edges
Cover with a teflon sheet
Press on light to medium pressure
You need enough pressure to force the tile slightly into the felt base
This wraps the transfer to slightly around the edge of the tile
Too much pressure and the tile will crack
After 8 minutes open the press and flip over the tile
Remember this is very hot and requires careful handling
Allow it to air cool
Your ceramic tile is complete
