Hey guys. It's Bex here and welcome to another video in my series You Have Four Minutes for
Meditation. Today's meditation is one for your shattered soul.
[Music]
I am a huge collector of quotes that I use for mantras and inspiration for my meditations.
I put them on my iPhone in the notes section and I keep them all together so that I can
review them and share them with you.
Today I want to share two of my favorite quotes from the recent past that I want to offer
to you as a meditation for your shattered soul.
I want you to get started by finding your easy, comfortable seat that could be anywhere
that you can find a quiet space. Your legs could be crossed, one foot in front of the
other in lotus or half lotus, whatever works for you.
Sit up nice and tall by inhaling your shoulders up to your ears like this and exhaling your
shoulder blades down your spine. Your hands can be downturned or upturned to receive the
energy around you.
Meditation is all about what works for you, what takes you to your quiet space. So do
what feels best.
Now that you're in this space in perfect meditation posture, I would like you to close your eyes.
I'm not going to close mine yet because I want to read these messages to you first.
Close your eyes and start to pay attention to your breath. Easy inhales and exhales.
Pay attention to where you are in this very moment. Feel your heart. Feel the energy that
it's emanating. Listen to your heartbeat. Feel the power of that life force surging
through your chest.
Know that your body is a miracle. Your heart is a miracle and this is such a wonderful
and miraculous space in time. As you continue to breathe nice and easy, let me read these
beautiful, inspirational quotes to you.
This one is by Bishop TD Jakes, a wonderful and inspirational thought leader, a friend
of Oprah and someone who inspires me. "The blessing is in the breaking. That that refuses
to be broken refuses to be blessed. It is in the breaking of life that produces the
blessing of life."
And this one by Mark Nepo, "Light is in both the broken bottle and the diamond."
What these quotes say to me is that it's in times that we are broken that we feel as though
our souls have been shattered, that so many blessings are to be found.
When we are broken, these are opportunities for growth. Think of how the muscle works,
how when you work it out, it must be broken down, even injured in order to grow.
The same is true for our souls. The blessing is in the breaking. There is light in the
broken bottle. There is opportunity and love in my broken heart. The pieces of my shattered
soul are blessings and are beautiful.
The blessing is in the breaking. There is light in the broken bottle. Miracles can be
found in the beautiful and shattered pieces of my soul. There is blessing in the breaking.
There is light in the broken bottle. There are miracles to be found in the beauty of
the shattered pieces of my soul.
With your next inhale, say out loud or imagine to yourself, "I will," exhale, "grow from
my pain." Inhale, I will. Exhale, grow from my pain. Inhale, I am determined. Exhale,
to be victorious through my pain. I am determined to be victorious through my pain.
Allow sensation to return to your fingertips and to your toes. Give them a wiggle. Take
one more deep inhale and exhale with me. In your next inhale, go ahead and open your eyes.
I hope you love those quotes as much as I do. I carry them with me all the time. I refer
back to them whenever I'm feeling down or when I feel like my life may be falling apart
a little bit.
There is so much beauty and there are so many blessings in the breaking. So remember that
next time you're feeling broken down.
I love you. Please leave your comments and requests below. I love reading them and I
love making new videos for you. I will see you again in the next Bex Life video.
