MICHAEL LEWIS: Michael Lewis here with Christian Martial Arts. On behalf of Expert Village,
we are here to talk today about executing an outboard wristlock. Now, to actually make
your jiujitsu effective, loosening up techniques are most important, or softening up techniques.
Nobody is going to allow you to-he grabs my wrist, nobody is going to allow you to execute
this, right here, without, first, the loosening up technique or some type of distraction.
So what I do just an example, I will take, and I will throw a punch as I am rolling up
the wrist and then grab and be able to execute the wristlock. Another example. If he grabs,
I would trap his wrist coming with a knee strike, step out and rotate into another wristlock.
So your jiujitsu, while you are practicing it, it looks all nice and neat while you are
practicing one on one in a controlled manner. But to actually be able to apply it in a realistic
life-like situation, it does not come out that pretty as it tends to be pretty messy.
So loosening up techniques are vital for you to be able to execute a clean technique.
