Hey phone fans, Rob here in my living room
with the beautifully designed HTC One smartphone
now one of the features that I just have to show you, it's called TV
and lets you connect your smartphone up to your television and offers recommendations
of what to watch.
I have golf on TV moment but I'd rather be watching Top Gear.
With a quick switch on the HTC One, Top Gear comes on TV.
If you don't mind me, I'm going to catch up with this.
Stay tuned and I'll show you more great features of the HTC One.
The HTC One has a full metal body surrounding the handset, it gives this
really premium feel
I really love these curved edges that just go around the sides.
Really smooth to the touch. Quite nice to hold. No detail has gone unnoticed.
You can see here, the volume rocker, adds a touch of class
with its textured look.
I quite like the black lock button as well.
A really premium handset. On top of that you have a 4.7 inch display
going across the smartphone. It's Full High Definition which means
you can watch movies in 1080p, currently the best resolution you can get
on a smartphone. Just want to demo BlinkFeed to you.
BlinkFeed aggregates all the social content and news sources
I've pulled in the Guardian and Twitter.
It just keeps me updated. If you've ever got a few minutes to kill
you can get up to scratch with what's going on.
in your world and across the globe aswell.
One more thing about the HTC One design,
is these dual frontal stereo speakers. They're quite massive.
And they're known as BoomSound.
It sounds quite gimmicky but I was actually blown away
just how loud these can go. Here's an example.
[Plays Music]
Yeah, so it's pretty loud isn't it?
Almost blew my face off, just how loud it can go.
What helps to make it loud
is this Beats Audio partnership. HTC and Beats have worked together
for a number of years.
You can really hear that quality basslines,
drums, etc. There are loads of layers of detail
Much better than listening through the 3.5mm jack.
You are actually hearing it through the speakers, giving you immense quality,
and immense loudness. As a smartphone, this is one of the best for sound
quality on the market.
So on the back, we have a four megapixel camera.
This sounds quite laughable compared to the competition but there's a lot more
to taking a great photo than just the megapixel count.
What HTC have done is increase the size of
each and every pixel. Each one collects in a bit more detail.
Overall giving you a better photograph.
On top of that, we have a really large aperture. This is essentially the pinhole
for light and HTC claim up to
three hundred percent more light is captured
in the HTC One than your competitor smartphones.
To test this out I thought go down to the woods on a
really dark morning. The weather was pretty poor as well.
Typical British weather and quite a dark environment.
You look at this photo and you can see straight away
It looks so much better than a standard four megapixel camera shot
It looks more like your 10 or 13 megapixel shot
There's lots of quality and light availability in there.
A really nice touch focus, just tap the screen and
it homes in on what you wanna take a picture. I thought
it gets across all of those essential details. I then went into a darker environment
again you can see plenty of detail in the photographs.
Lots of light availability thanks to the large aperture, just collecting all the light
that's available.
The HTC One records in Full High Definition.
Just looking at the front, which also records in Full HD.
You have a 2.1 megapixel camera, just to test this
out as a photograph.
Just captures all the light that's available
I don't even remember it being this light when I took the photograph
that's how good it is. You have loads of space thanks to the wide angle lens.
You could fit a whole relay team, bob-sleigh team, maybe even a football team
all within one video call. Really good for
having a video call with someone on the other side of the world.
So that's a roundup of the HTC One. Overall a really good premium smartphone
that's a really good contender against Samsung Galaxy S4.
Plenty of great features, my favourite has to be BoomSound
Just how loud those speakers can go is phenomenal.
A really good release now available at
e2save.
