Hi, today we are going to take a look at a couple of great website builders
that you can use to build a free website.
We have used all of these ourselves to carry out our website builder reviews,
so we can give you some good tips.
Our first example site was built using Weebly.
Now when building a website using a free plan there are two main things to look at:
Does the site show any ads?
And what kind of domain name can you use?
To see any ads on this site, we have to scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page.
It’s a grey button that will only turn orange and pop out when hovering over it.
But generally it’s not that visible and may be totally fine
for a personal website or a small business website.
As far as domains are concerned you will get a yourpage.weebly.com domain.
But you can also redirect an existing domain for free,
which unfortunately involves a bit of a technical process.
You can find out more about that in our website builder reviews on WebsiteToolTester.com.
Our second website was built using Webnode.
It’s the same principle as with Weebly, just an ad at the bottom of the page.
However this one is a lot more visible as it is orange whether you are hovering over it or not.
You have the same options for your domain as you have with Weebly.
Next is Jimdo, which doesn’t show any ads at the bottom of the page,
but it does feature a rather big ad in the sidebar of the website.
Also you cannot use your own domain on the free plan.
To get rid of the ad and use your domain name you have to upgrade to Jimdo’s Pro plan.
Our last example is Webs.com which features a big 3rd party ad in the header.
Also there is a footer link that links back to Webs.com.
You cannot use your own domain name and you are limited to 40 MB of storage.
For these reasons, it does not make a whole lot of sense to us to use Webs free plan.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the comparison.

Thanks a lot for your time!
