We are a student-focused institution,
and that means we really connect
with students.
Even though we're 24,0000 students plus,
it's a small school atmosphere.
You know the students can approach any
faculty or staff,
and they'll have access to them.
And I think that's something we've still
kept even though we have grown
to be a big school.
And that I think is very special
for students.
I like to keep it simple,
and I like to make sure
that it's application oriented.
We understand the theory,
but we have to know how we're going
to apply it in real life.
And I think that's how I like to learn,
and that's how I to teach
and that's what they enjoy about that.
The other thing is the relationship.
You know, you build relationships
with the students,
and most of the students really connect
with you and they come back
and they continue to work with you.
And I think that's the greatest reward
about teaching is staying connected
with your students and knowing
that you've impacted students
over a period of time.
