i'd like to take this opportunity to thank the people have been eleven
canadian mathias conference sponsors
the vitality deep elf
blackmun mclellan insurance
the flash there be canada magazine
fund accountant
the punch warehouse
the registered mathias there at the the fifty asian of ontario
and cannon town for making this year is event possible
our special guest today if patrick and raphael
patrick and i will be talking about his three more class at the canadian house
conference
introduction to body favor notes done for the past
but first let me tell you tell you a little bit about patrick
patrick and wrap it
uconn iota institute simply innovator behind the body paper netcom method
are unique mentality that help reponse their pets protect their bodies anti you
come to their fullest extent of practitioners
patrick received his time applies teacher certification from the institute
of time applies in chang mai thailand after studying extensively with mastech
oncall had acquired
patrika and teaching thousand united state
kantor costa rica and mexico for over fifteen years
he had a new york state like sympathized therapist
propellant certified body worker certified personal trainer and yet the
teacher
patrick creates an exciting educational environment they'd allow three didn't
immediately benefit
from his workshop tweety
patrick welcome to the canadian press conference pre conference broadcast fury
and always an expanded to visit with you and
to learn about your class for the canadian mathias conference
introduction to body favor netcom size
well will good morning i'm good afternoon police thank you for having me
on the call i'm really excited to be uh... you know exhibitors vendor again
this year at the today in the past couple of
um...
uh... looking forward to it
well we're glad to have you here and excited to have you back at the contract
again this year
and before we get in your topic
i'd really like to ask you why exactly did you want to be involved with the
canadian mathias conference again this year
well you know our whole basis in buffalo new york
so you know we're very close by
but more importantly part of the conference
so well-run uh...
it and uh... so many missiles therapists that come to the show
and seemed to get such a great resulting in such a great time and it's just great
to be in that flirting environment
uh... well with your colleagues and meeting you
friend itself
just a great environment you know to be an so um...
well that's why we're coming back we had a great results last year bom
we had courses that we registered people into canadians came in train between
january and then again in may
and uh...
you know people uh... in canada on the bus therapist in canada are very home
interested in furthering their careers than having uh... uh longevity and
learning new skills and techniques po
it's a third uh... great place to be as an educator
i definitely agree in and you don't have a great grandfather rather different
from the conference last year
mhm
and i would really fortunate everyone can be a part of one of patrick's class
of last year an expected leonie it that heat
it during the day the f ticket buyer does not like that when you're in there
you're going a lot more
excursion or
uh... now in their anything besides teaching and being a vendor patrick that
you're interested in on being a part of that day at the canadian house concrete
anything that you're looking forward to
all really looking forward to it you know about being with my colleagues
uh... all different levels whether that the other teachers and prisoners that
are at their exhibit urs
by the energy is great uh... uh... you know on the of vendor floor
uh... them and beating people you know afterwards that the uh... you know that
the uh... the mixtures the event dinners and the parties
uh... too good to get away from work and get a little uh...
fun and partying until we all need to do that
closure
that's a good look at the good of that uh... on so many levels
you know to be involved in you know
idea now in a while beat back there again as your match com not gonna be a
lot of fun
without patrick in regard to your class uh...
tell me a little bit about exactly what you're going to be presenting at this
year's conference and what your students will be learning about
do well in a three hour of him down publication
on top of the body favor no problem method which is one of four courses that
i teach
using the body favor method
uh... i'll be demonstrating it will be practicing and be able to put
uh... into are used immediately um... methods of how to use your other parts
of your body other than your father than your palm
effectively give from you know deep tissue work or pressure at any level
actually
so i mean
the uh...
that'll be our you know the body favor a method you could say it's about using
good ergonomics
combined with mind-body uh...
technology fluid movement
uh... bodyweight in momentum to deliver the pressure and if it's like a damp so
to speak for like five
a lot of my students safety it's a really fun to do this
and at the end of the day after managing level to the rest of my life applicable
that night
but
well you definitely make it look on and make it look really gauging i think that
and from what i think the type of work it's a great way to break-up
your routine
meaning and cat can be tricky
uh...
matrix binu they'd ality ahmed in there
how about making it easier on your body just like you said taking pressure off
your hands in your town
gun salute lido or you know when you know uh... uh...
there'll be a lot of range of motion work
uh... combined with using your forearms uh... your knuckle confess
and i'll even show
some work on how to use your knees
and how to uh...
uh... different body parts
they're going to combine a lot of range of motion bringing that kind of like the
pressure into the key issue
and bringing the tissue into the pressure
the night thing about the range of motion were combined with pressure
is you get to affect
piano oak
the range of motion in a particular joint
and see what there is any limitations are paying in that joining a really
kinda like tells you where to go to work
right
now it something you should have had that i want you to clarify for everyone
to make sure i understand i think i know what you mean that even bringing the
commission into the pressure what exactly do you mean how does that happen
people moving up moving the body in a range of motion gopac
i can hold pressure of website with the fist or a forearm in dhaka lobo remind
me
and environment moving um...
and i'm moving the body part will be a joint
feel
what's going on in that short
so it's almost like opinions
stretch showed its peak
i can't make certain defense though
and
so um... that makes a little bit
uh... what difference it makes easier on your body to
we're combining of those two uh...
those two movement
conscience counsel i'm sure one of the candidate thank you very much easier for
people to understand once they come to your class there's just one more reason
i think they've to sign i think the particularly at the c_n_n_
it's hard to put into words
uh...
but um... the result
are armed
you know what people get out of the course of the love to hear with my
students write in their valuations and playing for me to feel like
they have more freedom
uh... to be creative
uh... within
you know the practice
it opens up from the world for them to
use different body parts work on their client
in different positions you know will do a lot confide line position in the body
favor offcourse
shilts was sideline movement
thing and uh...
um...
that's fun
you know when you have a lot of tools and your tool bag or
whatever color you have a lot of tool from the jewel box nang kind i don't
think that
yeah if i come open up my jewel box when there is a sparkly toward in a take that
one out and use it now tho
you know you don't have to be bored doing your uh...
massage therapy work of a lot of
people are willing to admit that their sometimes do this same routine over and
over again
and uh... uh... that deadpool boredom is not a a good place to be when you're a
creative artists and i do believe that
massage therapist are creative artists
they have betty merge on a anna at a higher level for people and watch that
captain of the pretty exciting place for a teacher at the end
uh... we get a lot of smiles
i know that kind of bacteria and i will fade after being in your class even
though i was just a restricting you more than anything
i learned from thinking a little
tool to bring individual things to break up the monotony and on change things up
a little bit with my retained too
today that people who are in the class fully expert at content will get that
but i i wanna tell i want you to tell people a bit more exactly about what the
body paper method is and how you develop it
well account developed that uh... over a period of time
collect studied a lot of asian
bodywork thai massage she up
too
yoga
and i think you know how can i am corporation
uh... from of the range of motion and and
uh... why can't i must tell you the rocking motion and use our body weight
deliver the pressure
and uh... um
i want to be combined that technology
with using something other than my from palms and as i was working out my
private clients over a period of years
and having a
not upto great of a column from from previous
construction work at that
uh... injuries
how it's finding that i could be very effective but have control and
but just found it might not call from fifteen th or around the world
better tools do you think
certain areas of the body
then my palms or my comp
so it's just uh...
uh... a way of being up more creative
uh... to deliver on what people were getting and my clients were getting
really great
result
stuff out of that so it's kinda
that's how it's you know developed over time as the body of work and um...
you you could say it
sort of like how can i have the massage b
as much for me evidence for my client
and if i'm not hurting myself and i'm having fun and i'm not
exhorting a lot for the energy
uh... i think my client is going to get a lot of benefit out of its work
automatically
and um...
so i was finding that might fit will look for something that
massage therapists are going to really like
and uh... for that
stuff out pretty much uh... came about
and how back leads a body favor matt method
different from other mentality
i think outfits for some of the things that upset though
we're not trying to fix the particular um...
thing in the body
you know uh... any injury left say although you can use the technique too
to work on specific uh... areas of the body that need extra help
so i would say it's more about their pets centric
uh... and i think it differs
from other modalities the math
there's a lot of movement food movement in the work
you know like a damp
and in that respect uh... it gets to be a little bit more fun
and a little bit more creative
and um...
though i think that's what makes it a little bit different from from of the
other modalities out there
we know talking about it being erica centric and uh...
and for the therapist as much as the client it reminds me of
something i'm no i don't know maybe a teacher told me years ago when i was in
training that a dead someone he's doing a good mathias actually should look like
they've had enough times when they finish their fashion
and not in adopted and worn out unlike in pain
eddie halliwell aly if that's what you're saying
yeah a lot of still be at the alive at the end of the massage to tell the tale
so to speak to me
so
at least to live if not feeling too right
though i gather foley giving up too late to reaffirm com but the end of the day
uh... that but that doesn't felt like uh...
a big apec's future for people you know
who want to have all longevity uh... as part of their own
as part of her career you know
you no one ever short career we'll have a long lucrative career
network
well we're all about here
that that night i learned that what you're talking about you discuss the
principal to have any
yet we can't let that apply to printable leblanc cavity
um...
along the way
and um...
so incorporating those will be part of the presentation
and it's intrinsic to the whole you nobody at work or well
the body favor method
through
i know that you've talked about
that's being a jew a lot of the jewel box something that people can add that
how it how to people actually integrate the body labor method
uh... into they're getting crackdown
palm
it's pretty easy to integrate
uh... into your practice
uh... from people who are already doing you know deep tissue work
uh... instead of using their complex say they'll start using that whole both more
or their fifth more or their needs or their forearms
indifferent
job different ways in a different positions
um... so they're taking baths
uh... advantage of the ergonomics that are present
and body mechanics
that they have
and are the principle of longevity one of which is like walking your body using
momento rather than muscular strength that lover you know the pressure
so you can uh... um...
uh... incorporate
the movement
into
just about any uh...
any technique that you're using
and people don't have to have any particular kind of training mentality
com as a prerequisite them eking or are there any are there any type it all out
of all it
collector
locate people take the uh... the body favor no com course that could lead to
gave the training
um...
multiply surface could just taking go to work the next day in fact a lot of that
their purple faith
wiped out a few clients of that i don't know
that i have in mind that i this is going to be great for them or that this
technique going to be great for them and i can't wait to try it
so it's a technique that doesn't take a lot of
study afterwards i mean you can
just go right to work with and apply immediately into your practice and that
might make it different from other modalities too i think you know
staff melanie
now you can
i know you're teaching another class at the conference uh... although i don't
remember exactly what it is
but when our class
um... and we talked a little bit about integrating the body favor method with
other modalities
uh... macon paper acted more effective
at that time that trent
um... translated all into the other class you're teaching
exactly uh... you know i'm doing uh... one hour prior to the table presentation
and both in the type of the table and the traditional thai on the floor
courses that i teach i incorporate defamed
uh... body favor uh...
you know modality wearing traditional high there's a lot of pump roughing in
pump rafting which were the restaurant com
button when you get your all of your body weight
behind um... i said well wait wait a minute we don't want to shore than our
career with the
amazing modalities feel that come from the east
let's use
uh... neil ralph or are born elbow orifice
in place uh... boroff watch
in place for the fall mara papa in that
where um...
we've westernized so to speak or meet uh... it easier for people to
corporation
time is partial to speak into their practice
uh...
so that's kind of like our combined uh...
combine it with other are modality
you can use your feet
uh... to do wonderful body favor ah... methodical work are using the special
bench that i've designed for instance
so i'll you know you can replace the bars that you have over your table
and use this body favor pension use your feet to do work together on the floor on
the table faith for instance
and not have to cannot climb up onto the table so to speak to do arm
your misconduct workshop
do you think you know just make it simpler and easier and more effective
for people who incorporate
a whole range of uh... uh...
you know um... different power tool feels like all of your built-in power
tool
kids are wonderful methods tools
amplified you mentioned that chair because i was just thinking about that
kind of he doesn't talk about that i'm gonna have to do about it
uh... appellee suggested for anybody that listening and that you
take a look at this then that patrika fill its really cool actually fits right
through the client
confident they can lay on the floor and you can do
european us with your feet
oily or principle of longevity of lawyer-client ok can't every airplane on
the floor as wonderful could you could use a lot of body weight momento
and then if you're sitting on the body favor pensions straddling the client you
have both feet available to do our work whether you're sitting on the bench
or all using the bench for balance for this kind of life
it just opened up some new world and especially
those techniques where you're working with the client
fully clothed either on the table or on the floor felt that opens up a lot of
uh... uh...
potential clients that might not come from
rajaram comparable you know all about this
this clothing or something like that
or people who are looking for home
of very active
uh... type of bodywork did improve their game or their um...
uh... or their uh... our freedom of movement so to speak
so uh... it's nice to have it on
fully clothed
technique as well as working with oil whether you're working romeo
on the table dot
floor even at unanimous in in the finance chair
so um...
some of my student
at increase their business by twenty to thirty percent in a very short period of
time
by uh... uh...
having fully cloak technique
i think that's a great options and to really helpful
are important to point that out it sir
not just learning attacking peace with your drifting client base picture
unveiling your stuff to whole wholly different market
that maybe never compared
they're going to be in intrigued by this type of work and begin someone he very
athletic uh... you know one of the things i really like about the type of
work is all of the
range of motion and stretching
and i've definitely every chance i can
weevil my way onto patrick table i'm going to be there because i think it
feels great and you know it really
for someone like me that really is involved in that india working out and
running and pay for it
uh... it's a very appealing kind of work maybe not necessarily what i want every
time
and i think your athletic client as you're talking about her can be very
interested in something in a more active her hands
involved in that range of motion helping them improved their flexibility etcetera
and then canada geese and the people that are quiet maybe they're shy about
getting on the table without
there clint on
can be a perfect
approved are perfect greeted to person doing to go after with this type of
technique
yell anytime you can uh... you know
widen your demographically people that are coming
you know for bodywork uh... e it's gonna make a difference
oreo
all the way around
most definitely
and isaac do you have anything just center people
that are interested in pursuing the kind of training are are learning how to do
uh... the body neighbor method maybe they're not gonna be at the at the
clapton in canada anything gestion through them how to get started
well you know that they can contact us
you know i'm at our website
yet uh... that would be nine out of a u_s_ faith dot com
and that and a lot of the eighty eight-year-old
com or are we have a you tube channel round face book or a linkedin
or they can call it seven one fixed two one seven zero five seven seven
and uh... you know bearing in mind were so close to uh... ontario
even the courses you know that were offering here webster new yorker
available canadians so
uh... and it's always great to ah... talk directly with people about uh...
the practice now we can make a difference
and you have to do you get home study item devalued
if people do you know we've done and uh... boot
yet will have about three three dvds available by the time of the show we
have to write alan
so exciting to have those to back up uh... the training in the courses and
um...
workbooks
and those types of things thing and uh... yeah i will be a introducing a new
product that i've invented uh...
at the show you up to
stop buying and see that
family fifty al definitely be there
heat
well you know i'm gonna get on the table if i could fade away and i can tell for
sure
but i think that would be a
that the often yeah tab hunter to share that website what everybody one more
