DUSTIN STAAT: Where we left off is on our media page. Go and click left to your games
page. At the top, you'll see your games menu. Now, if you had a game saved on your Xbox
before you get an Xbox Media Center Mod, go and click on that, and you'll see they've
all been move here, but the cooler thing is no longer is it just a name, it actually takes
the save icon, and gives you a list of icons to go with the games. So you see at Batman,
it's the bat symbol. Family Guy, it's Stewie, etc., etc. definitely makes for more eye candy.
It helps you find the game you're looking for faster. In this case, this user has a
lot of games. Next, the Xbox arcade. Now, you'll notice on your last system that there's
an area called "emulators." Now, what an emulator is, it's basically a piece of software that
plays old games. So following the FTP and mIRC that we showed you earlier, you can actually
download emulator programs. Load them up into Xbox Media Center like how I showed how to
do it in this video, except when you're all going to the emulator's file, inside your
Xbox Media Center. In this case, we have a Genesis, a Playstation, a Nintendo, Nintendo
64, and Super NES emulator. The thing with emulators is you have to own the game to legally
be able to emulate them. So make sure you don't break the law. Own the games before
you download them and put them on your Xbox, next, your applications. You saw your old
applications, including your old version of Evolution X. You got your Xbox Media Center
which you're using right now, DVD2Xbox and links box, which I haven't showed you a download,
but we'll get to that another time. Next is your game saves, they'll search your hard
drive, find all your separate game saves from all your different games, and unlike in your prior operating system,
you have a full list with graphics to the next side, where you can do all kinds of different
things. Now if you press your Y icon, you can select the source of your saves, or press
your Y button, you can copy to, delete, or download new saves. If you're using the "copy
to" method that means, you know, I'm trying to stick onto a friend's Xbox, or vice versa.
We're going to go ahead and go back to our last menu, Xbox Media Center Live. Now, you're
going to think that's kinda strange, because when we originally [INDISCERNIBLE] your Xbox,
basically, you can't use on Xbox's Live anymore. But this is the thing, connects to Xlink Kai.
I go on the internet, search Xlink's Kai, it'll take you to a webpage where, basically,
it's the same thing as Xbox live but it's free and people from Mod Xbox can go to play.
This is pretty cool if you still want to do live gaming. Okay, we'll go and check out
our final menu, our System menu. This has the most options. This is to really customize
your Xbox features, as well as the look and feel. We'll start with appearance. Now, right
now, we have the Media Center 360 Skin. The version we have, which may differ from yours,
comes at several different skins, depending on the version download. As I said, you'll
have lots of different skins to pick from, or you may only have one, depending on when
you download this software. I recommend going and checking out the Xbox Media Center site.
You download from it, originally often, because they upgrade. That's about every few days
to every few weeks. Watch our next segment, which is part three on using your Xbox Media
Center.
