When you're planning on going to the grocery store probably one of the questions you're
going to be asking yourself is 'Paper or Plastic?' And, there's a third choice. Which, obviously,
is canvas bags. They come in all different shapes and sizes and colors. Some are actually
very trendy now. Some are insulated but they're so nice because you can actually bag your
own groceries and you can buy more of these, obviously at different stores, but if they
get dirty you can wash them. This is nice. This is sturdy too, I like third one. They're
very sturdy. I don't think you're going to lose your milk and produce out of that bag.
No. You can get a lot in here too. Yes, you can get a lot in there. So I think it's a
wonderful option and one that most people should consider. If you do though, choose
the plastic or the paper with the option of the plastic do keep in mind that once you
do take them home you need to recycle them. There are certainly many different reuses
for plastic bags but if you have a lot left over consider taking them to one of the grocery
stores that does recycle them. You can go to Earth911.org to find out where in your
community which grocery stores will take them back. Obviously with the paper. Well you've
got a tip for that. I have a great tip. What I do is I leave a couple of these in the trunk
of my car until I go to the market. I'll just take it out of the trunk of my car. You just
reuse them and reuse them until they fall apart probably and then you can recycle them
after that with your curbside recycling program in most cases or with your cardboard. So it's
a great option. There's always plenty of options available, I think.
