Hey everyone, Hyunwoo Sun here in Seoul, Korea.
I just got out of the taxi.
The reason that I took a taxi at 4:30 in the morning is
not because I like to take taxis at this early hour
but because I have to go to 전주 today.
I have to be there by 9 o'clock, or I have to be there
before 9 o'clock because the class that I'll be speaking in will start at 9 o'clock.
So I will try to catch… if I can find the place, yeah, this is Central City.
It's called Central City, but it's just the express bus terminal for buses
bound for areas that are in the western part of Korea, 호남 지역.
And anyway, so I have to catch a bus that leaves… I mean, the first bus actually.
So it will leave at around 5:30… 5:40… I'm not sure.
I'll have to go and check, and then it will take about 2 hours and 40 minutes to get there,
and I will take a taxi from 전주 express bus terminal to 전주 University.
And I'll be speaking at the orientation for EPIK
EPIK means English Program In Korea
And it's a, I think it's a great opportunity for you
if you want to work here in Korea teaching English in public schools
so go look it up if you are interested in finding out what EPIK is.
So after all, I guess I'm here a little bit early.
Well, it's much better to be here early or on time than to be late, right?
So as you can see, all the gates, departing gates for the majority of the cities
that are in the 호남 지역, Honam area, are closed but the gate for 광주 only is open
and the guy over there has been shouting all along looking for people to go to 광주
And the ticket offices are still closed, so by any chance if you have to 광주
can you hear him?
if you have to go to 광주 and if you happen to come here at like 4 something in the morning
you can go directly to the person over there, rather than having to wait until the ticket offices open
because they will open after 5 o'clock.
I think it's almost 5 o'clock… yeah it's two minutes to 5 o'clock.
Well, anyway, and the security guards there were patroling seeing,
just checking if, checking who's the real customers,
like, who are the people who are actually waiting for their buses,
and who are the people how are just homeless and trying to sleep here,
and they… right before I started this video, they were asking a 아줌마, a lady
who was walking around forever in a circle, where she was going, what she wanted to do here,
and she couldn't really answer, so they were like, trying to get her out of this place.
Anyway, I think I'll have to just wait for ten or fifteen minutes,
and then buy my ticket to 전주, and I'm just happy that I'm not late
so it will take 2 hours and 40 minutes, and right after I finish all the classes for today in 전주
I will take a taxi from 전주 University to the bus terminal again and then buy a ticket bound for 서울
I wish I could stay there for one night but I have to come back tonight
and I will attend the LanguageCast Monday talkshow session and then, that'll be my day.
A busy day! I wish I could spend some more time in 전주, but still, nice to be able to travel a little bit.
Even, you know, if I have to just take a bus there and then come back right away.
And it's very… I'm tired, but when I meet new people, I feel suddenly energized, so it's a good thing.
So I'll hopefully be meeting a lot of great people, and enjoy some fresh air in 전주 because the air's really nice there, compared to that of Seoul.
So I'll see you when I get back to Seoul. Thank you. Bye!
