Hi! My name's Hannah, and welcome back to my series Here Come the Girls, from My Wedding
Scrapbook. Now, we're continuing with the gorgeous hen party theme, with ideas from
my lovely 'Girls' Night In,' and today we're going to make some personalized Leggy Bunting,
with a lovely message on it saying, 'Happy Hen!'
[music]
So our first stage is to print out our legs, and we just need to cut those out. So, we
just need to cut them out of the card. I've printed these onto some white card. So we
just need to cut our last little bit of leg out, just here. And make sure you don't really
get any white round the edges. You just want a nice pair of almost black tights, there.
And it might look a little bit weird now, but it will look absolutely gorgeous once
she's dressed up in her outfit. So I've got my selection of brightly colored scrapbook
cards, and I've got a few button trims and a few paper trims here, and we're just going
to decorate our lovely Leggy Bunting. So the first thing we do is cut out the skirt shape.
Now, if you need to use the pattern as a guide, that's fine. Just turn it over, and you can
roughly see how long you want your skirt to be and where the waist is. But this is very
rough, and because you're going to make quite a few of them, you don't have to worry too
too much. But it is fun to kind of create some lovely little designs. It's almost like,
when you were a kid, did you ever have a fashion wheel? I don't think I ever had one, but I
always wanted one. It's a bit like that. You create your own designs for little dresses.
So, there we go. There's a skirt there, a lovely bright orange skirt, and I'm just going
to cut out a spotty top to go with it.
Now, again, just use your pattern as a bit of a guide as to how big you want your outfit
to be, but again, anything goes really. I'm just going to cut the waist out.
So, now I've got my two pieces. I'm going to glue them down onto my figure, just with
a bit of clear glue, and just run a little bit of glue over the top, and stick my skirt
down, and then my top. Now, that is looking rather gorgeous, but it's going to look even
better if we trim it with some pretty little bits. So, I've got these really cute paper
trims here, so I'm going to make a little bit of a waistband out of that one. So just
trim her down. And then maybe a little button to go on top? Once you've decorated one of
your little leggy girls, you should really need about fifteen of these to make about
three meters. And make sure you get some of the girls over to make them with you, because
it's more fun if you do it all together. So, as we've made this bunting specific to your
hen, I thought it was quite nice to add a little message on there, so it could be her
name, or it could be a personal message from you girls. I've put 'HAPPY HEN!' on here,
and I've literally gone on my computer and just printed these off. Okay, so what I've
done is just cut out my letters in oval shapes, which should look quite pretty, and then I'm
going to back them onto some scrapbook card, which is the same colors as the dresses I've
made for my Leggy Bunting. So we just need to stick these onto the scrapbook card, and
I'm just using kind of random order to them. So, just turn those over, and just splodge
a bit of glue on the back of them.
And then we just need to glue those to the middle of our scrapbook card. And as you can
see, they look really pretty. Obviously you can hand write these if you like to, but I
quite like the way they look when they're printed out. It looks a bit more professional.
And there we go! So now we've cut out all our lovely pieces, and we've got them all
laid out. All we need to do is add them to our ribbon with our mini clips.
So as you can see, they look absolutely gorgeous all together with your lovely message in there.
