The following story is a complete work of fiction.
No names have been changed to protect the innocent
and no animals were harmed in the making of this fictional story.
In the year 1349 seven brothers named Clisophous, Triminus,
Yiminous, Krustimous, Dostriminominous, Lishinopsinopsymous, and Jim
decided they would move from their father's grand, vast estate
and travel to the country of Austria to build their own city.
Almost immediately upon entering Austria, they encountered a vacant property for sale that
was once a failed real estate investment property
owned by Donaldimous Trumpsymous.
They purchased the property forthwith and decided that because there were seven of them,
they would name their new town "Seven."
The seven brothers also decided that since the number seven was such a grand number,
every aspect of the town should be centered on that magnificent prime number.
For instance, the town would be built with seven streets, 77 houses,
777 trees,
and their goal was to eventually have 7,777 inhabitants.
Each of the seven brothers was assigned to a task to begin building the town.
Clisophous and Triminus built the roads, Yiminous and Krustimous built the houses,
and Dostriminominous and Lishinopsinopsymous planted the trees.
The seventh brother, Jim,
was given the task of entertaining the other six brothers every evening
so that they could relax after a hard day of work.
Jim was specifically chosen for this task because he was an excellent musician.
He was proud of the hard work his brothers were doing and decided that he
would honor them, and the magnificent integer 7,
by performing music using only 7 different notes: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
On the first night of these performances the seven brothers decided that this music,
which used only seven different notes,
was the most beautiful music they had ever heard.
They sent seven letters to the seven greatest kings in Europe asking them to
declare that from henceforth,
music in the western world will only use 7 notes: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
And wouldn't you know it,
after the kings heard the music that used only 7 notes, they all granted the request.
And to this day, music in the western world still uses
only 7 notes: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
