I'm going to show you have quick and easy it is to tile a floor. Before floor tiling,
always make sure that the base you're tiling onto it is sound, dry, clean, flat and level.
First, find the best position for your centre line to tile from. Use a gauging staff to
set out the floor tiling and check your tile cuts. Tiling on to Screed Here, we'll be using
Ardex X7R Tile Adhesive. Thoroughly mix the adhesive into clean water with an Ardex Mixing
Panel and drill. Then, working from, your centre line, use a Tile Trowel to spread out
an even bed of adhesive. Press each tile firmly into the adhesive with a slight twisting motion.
Push a Floor Tile Spacer between the tiles as you go. Smaller tiles can be cut with a
traditional Manual Tile Cutter. For awkward cuts, back buttering of the tile before fixing
might be easier. Then, once the adhesive has hardened, the tiles can be grouted. Click
here for How To Grout A Floor. Tiling on to Timber Firstly check that the boards are screwed
down correctly before you begin, and that the base is sound. Next, set out the floor
area to be tiled. Select the best position for your centre line to tile from, and mark
the floor. Use a gauging staff made from your floor tiles to check the tile cuts are even.
Brush one coat of Ardex P51 Primer onto the floor and leave it to dry. Then thoroughly
mix the powdered Ardex X7R Tile Adhesive into clean water with a Mixing Paddle and drill.
Working from your centre line, use a Tile Trowel to spread an even bed of adhesive,
and press each tile firmly into the adhesive with a slight twisting motion. Remember to
push a full tile spacer between the tiles as you go. Remove any surface adhesive from
the tile surface with a damp Ardex Professional Tiling Sponge or cloth. Once the adhesive
