This is John Mendez with Expert Village and I am going to show you how to link your beaded
chain together to create a necklace. We have added your twenty millimeter, eighteen gauge
jump ring on one end and what we are going to do is we are going to open up a jump ring
and you can either use two pliers or you can, this is a large jump ring, you can hold it
with your hand and the best way to open a jump ring is sideways. So you will want to
bend it to the side, never opening them this way, like you are opening a package of potato
chips. You have to open it to the side that keeps the wire strong and it also keeps it
from distorting. And this will just link right on. You can hold it with your fingers or with
your pliers. I prefer my fingers because I have better control. And these connectors
have an eighteen gauge hole so you can just slip them on and then hold it with your fingers
and close it back up and you want to wiggle it to where it connects the two ends coming
together and where it doesn't even look like there is seam and there you have a connected
piece and your little crystals will just lay where ever they want to lay once the necklace
is completed. Some connections can have crystals, others can not or you can add crystals to
the whole piece of wire or leave them bare which ever you want to do. It's all about
being creative and free form and we will add some more pieces next.
