Hi! I’m Trish from Healthy Body Massage, of Orlando. You can visit our web page at
www.healthybody-massage.com. Today for Expert Village I’m going to show you how to treat
the trunk of the body for lymphatic drainage. First in every treatment with lymphatic drainage
is going to start with the stomach. It is a series of five movements in each area, you
go down and in, down and in, same here right above the groin, down and in. These are light
movements. We are going to go over to the other side, repeat, we are going to ask the
client to take a deep breath, go up his diaphragm, apply pressure as he exhales. If you feel
the beat of the heart, you do not want to be pressing too hard and lift again. The second
area we are going to is the axillary glands, the hands are going to go on the inside between
the arm and the breast and you are going to go down and up, as you are going towards the
lymph nodes. This is done in a series of five too. The next we are going to come up to the
neck, where we go down towards the body, down and towards the trunk, down and towards the
trunk. Again five and then you go right here above the collarbone and just straight down
movements, where you are tucking your fingers under the collarbone. Here, we are going to
go to the upper portion of the thigh. We are going to go down towards the inner thigh and
then up towards the body, down towards the inner thigh and up towards the body and then
we are going to bring our hands in lower on the thigh, down and up, down and up, that
is a series of five times, repeat the whole thing over again, ending with the stomach.
You only do it twice on the second round.
