Hey Bart Miller here with Cycling Strong So this morning we just got up
I got my little bit of
osmose my second round of that in me and
you can see some of the products of obviously I've told you about that I really do you use
you can see the CarbSport here that I'm putting in my bottles
as we speak for Rebecca's ride
see right there I'm gonna ride with her bottle on today
love love love can I say that orange colour
think it's absolutely awesome so
trying to get the mixing ratio right right now on
my about out of CarbSport so
trying to get that right there
for this morning
and then I
that filled up and then we're gonna move just a little bit well tell you what we did
this morning to is I got up and cooked some french toast
we're such amazing shoppers that
I got everything that we needed except for butter
and syrup so we took these scroodles that we bought
and we used them on top of our french toast so we had a little
bit more flavor because there was no flavor in here after we got all that done
so
next thing I'll do is I'll get my escaps
all lined out in this I've got pretty well done but
I will 1234 actually I've got five hours worth right there so I don't even have to mess
around with that
I already pre-packed this and this is what I'm gonna put at the back of my kit
If we wanna go right over here I'll
show you that I had the bike in here this morning
and once again specialize was awesome to let me ride this cross bike
got my number on the front number on the back that
they gave us they put two different bottle cages which is fine I'm used to this
bottle cage on the back cause that's what I use on my mountain bike
and we'll give this thing a go
Garmin mounted got some air got my
tube back there and I think I'm really actually ready to rock 'n roll
Ithrough some this is a
CarbSport right here I put it back here and I'm gonna
give this little tag to air in
because I want him to be able to bring that for me
they made these tags to get into all dinners and all that kind of stuff
so I
you're supposed to have it at the end of the race
and I don't wanna pack it so lets see it Aaron will take it for me
and then
lets see another really quick thing
we had to put. Kind off a mess in here but
Smith Optics
I got an amazing pair of Smith Optics
glasses that Smith Optics
totally took care me on so I'm gonna try those today
they're absolutely so cool coolest part about 'em
If you kinda look they yeah they match
the kit really really well so I was so stoked
when they got me this pair of glasses that actually
kinda went with my kit and looked really cool so
I'm stoked about that put that on so what I do in the mornings
is you can kinda see right here that I when I
when I'm not stressed out as I try to scratch my brand new glasses
when I'm not stressed out I lay everything I possibly can
out so you can see I got my arm warmers laid out here
heart rate monitor I've got my gloves
I've got my helmet I've got that and then my all the kit
that I'm gonna wear is right here because when I get up sometimes I get so
scatterbrained and I got so much going on
that I can't think about anything but just
oh my gosh I gotta get to this race event and then I get there and go
oh my gosh I wish I would have I forgot to put my heart rate monitor on I forgot my
Garmin on my bike
you all these other things go through my head
so I try to make sure everything is
right here so when I start to put stuff on I know exactly what all I've got see I
got my kit all lined out
got everything I'm gonna need clear down to
you know the old shammy creamyou know I just don't leave anything
that I have to think about because if I forget that stuff
you know it makes for a you know a miserable ride so
those are things I do personally everybody's different and how they set
their stuff up and I know this is totally like
chaos guy style here If my wife was here I'd have to
you know pick a few things up make it look a little cleaner but
that's what I do you know I mean I just make sure everything is lined out and
then what I try to do is
I try to put it back together like this right here and
I'm gonna tag that bag and I'll have like thes sweats
and probably this shirt and I'll have a ball cap
that I will throw in that bag right there and that bag I'll
I'll send with Aaron and these guys and when I get to
I'll go to in the start line I'll have my whole kit on underneath this
and then this will keep me warm because it's about 40 outside right now so it's gonna be chilly
and then what we're ready to go I'm gonna strip this thing off
and start riding to get my energy and everything
up will hit me up a little bit but then they'll take this bag they'll
throw everything in it
and then when I'm finished with the race and I come back
at the end I kinda like to have a ball cap cause my hair
is obviously everywhere and you know a few things just like a pair iof sweats to
throw on if I want 'em or
whatever else sometimes I just like extra stuff
and I'll have a different pair of shoes in there so they'll
just bring that to me and then I'll be able to kinda get casual before I go take a
shower or
if I'm showering somewhere else I've got something like this now
one thing you'll notice on this bag and I i have two of these bags
and the reason I buy 'em like this because once again I'm putting all the gear in there
but I like these backpack straps on
because that way if a Aaron or whoever's there they're not just
they're not have to hold the duffel bag or throw it on the shoulder
they can run with this they can go wherever they need to
and they feel like they've got I don't know it just makes it so much easier for 'em to pack
and I i just want people to have an easier time I don't know why but
it's just probably me, I like that so
um I can't really think of anything else except for
I just will grab you know like I
like I always tell you guys here's compression you know medical compression
I've got 'em with me if you walk out there you'll see that I have the normatext
with me
so when I get back here for this evening
you know I've gotta recover I don't know that most of you know I'm gonna run
a half marathon now I've not ran all year long I just don't run
end of the year my wife asked me if I would do a half marathon with her
and I i said yeah yeah I'll give it a go you know
obviously I'm not gonna do it very fast but why not you know go have some fun
so I've gotta be recovered from this ride and be ready to do a half marathon
next Saturday so
that will be kinda fun but that's that's kinda what I got going on that's why I need to get
recovered up so
I got everything here with me to be recovered with so anyways this is getting kinda long
so enough on that kinda stuff Smith Optics thank you so much for the glasses
