At PrintPlace.com, you can
choose from three coating options
to enhance and protect your project:
aqueous coating, high gloss UV, and dull UV.
Acqueous coating is a water-based
protective coating that we apply to all coated stocks.
It lends a slightly glossy finish
and is writable on by most ballpoint pens.
High gloss UV gives your
project a very glossy look and can
enhance vibrant colors, making them pop.
High gloss UV also gives extra protection and water resistance.
Dull UV creates a satin appearance.
It also reduces glare but tends to make colors less vibrant.
So dull UV is best for subtle than vivid designs.
Keep in mind, high gloss and
and dull UV cannot be
added to the back side of
your job if it includes mailing services. Choose
the coating option that best complements your design.
Think about colors, how it will be used, and your end goal.
