>>Dr. Rafn: Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye...I've always wanted to hear that...wanting to be
a judge. Just missing a prosecutor; let me see, the defense lawyer and defendant. Well,
I'm here at NWTC and just to talk to you a little bit about where our students end up
once they leave here. I was out in the community talking to whole bunch of folks. And I was
out in a manufacturing plant and they were talking about...I was talking to the CEO.
And guess what? He told me that he graduated from NWTC. Then I went to another company.
And the gentleman there said, you know, I started this company about ten years ago.
I bought for four million dollars. And now it's making forty million dollars a year.
And I owe it all to NWTC because that's where I graduated from. And I kept hearing this
story over and over again. Graduates from this college that were in top positions in
their companies. Same thing in law enforcement. I mean, the sheriff of Brown County, he was
trained by us. Police chiefs across the area; fire chiefs across the area; people that are
head of the paramedic units. These are all people that came from NWTC. Our graduates
-- you -- are going to be out there and be the future leaders. So when somebody says
to you when you say that you're going to NWTC and they kind of look at you like "oh that's
too bad". Think about the fact that many our graduates, and probably you, are the head
people in many of our companies. And they're the people that are running our communities.
NWTC -- number one, number one choice for a great career.
