In this configuration we have the Secutor character
from the rulebook
so we have in the hand the 4 action cards
common to all player, these with the green bar
some combat cards
of two kinds: with the red bar (0 energy) or with the purple bar (1 energy)
the number of cards is defined by the Secutor character
on the character sheet we have the skill values
and the capacity values
finally we have 2 item cards
the Secutor uses a sword and a shield
which give some bonus to attack and to defend
and two character cards
one in colors which represent the hit point deck
and one in B&W where put the discarded cards
the first thing to do at the beginning of the turn
is define how many cards put in the HP deck
this operation is made secretely
I put two cards there
by this way my character now
has a total of 5 Hit points
if he takes 5 or more damage points he dies.
Now I'm ready to start to play
the round mechanical is simple
player chooses an action card (green)
and plays it face-down
if there is an attack vs. an opponent player can add cards (red)
these cards represent my attack (hidden)
the defender does the same
then the attacker shows his cards for first
and declares his attack score
so the defender shows his card and declare his defense score
and they check if the attack hit
let's see an example
my miniature is away from the other
so I have to move near it
the most simple thing to do to move, is use the Movement Action card
in this case I can play it directly because there is not an Attack declaration
as show by the diagram in the bottom of the card
(when you attack you have to use the card bottom
when you defend the card top part)
I can move in any direction up to 3 movements
so for example ... 1... 2
rotate by 1 step
(for each movement I can rotate by 1 step)
and I'm ready to attack my opponent
doing so I let the initiative to my opponent
because now he will have to play.
so I prefer move on a different manner
using the Speed capacity
shown by a foot icon on the sheet
the Secutor starts with 5 Speed points
this means I can consume 2 points to move
and lower from 5 to 3 points
and attack using an Action card
for example I play this card joined with other 3 cards over
this is my attack
the defender does the same
then we check the result
I played 3 combat cards of 1 value,
1 energy, combined with Strength Action card
and Strength action card gains bonus from energy card played
so I made an attack of 3 points
one, two, three
as I played Strength card
this score of 3 points gains a bonus from Items
Item cards give a bonus to the attack and to the defense
So, 4 + 1 = 5 + 3 from Strength = 8
my attack score is of 8
then, if I wish, as it is not mandatory
I can add my Offense value
my character Secutor has 5
if I use it, it downs to 4
as the character is taking fatigue during the play
so the next time I will use the Offense I will have 4 value
so, resuming, my final attacking score will be 3+5+5=13.
the defender will make the same procedure and we will check if Imade more or less.
if I made more, the attack is successful
and I made some damage points
the damage is 1 + the half number of card played
I played 4 cards so are 2 damage points+1
I made 3 damage points to my opponent
my opponent has to take his Hit point deck
and remove from the game some cards for a total of 3 HP
The HP are represented by the value on the shield symbol
there is no change
so I should remove these two cards
or, as I already
remove an Item for the value in HP
or a mix of the two things
the attacker gains 1 victory point for the attack
he gains this VP also if he misses
and 1 victory point for each damage point done
so in this case other 3 VP
but only because this attack is from the front
as the attacks from behind makes the player lose VP
this is a my first round
then I take the played cards and put them in the discard pile
and the action card (turned) near the player sheet
my opponent makes another actions
for example, he mode here and attacked me
and lets see my second round, so we can complete the whole turn
I have to play another Action
I can play one of the Action I have in my hand
one of these three
one is the Movement: to move up to 3 hexes
or the other two attack Actions
the Dexterity Attack
which get a bonus to hit for the card I have in my hand
and in this moment I don't have many cards
and the Berserk attack
which depends by the Blood points
which are represented on the character sheet
more points I consume, more bonus to hit I will gain
so this could be an Action for me
