At this point, I'm going to turn the gas on and I'm going to test for leaks. Ok, the gas
is now turned on to the oven and I'm going to mix up a little bit of soap and water with
a q-tip and test for gas leaks. Our gas fittings to see if we're losing any gas here so we
basically take a little bit of soap, any kind of dish soap, I want to show you what it looks
like if we have a leak. I'll loosen this up just a bit. And you can see that's what it
will look like we mix up a little bit of soapy water and we put it on to the fitting and
if we are experiencing a gas leak, it?s going to look like that. How the soap really bubbles
up. So I'm going to go ahead and I just did that to show you what it looks like and that's
the proper technique for testing for gas leaks. I'm going to turn that off, I'm going to tighten
up on this flair fitting and then hopefully we will have no leaks. Ok, I'm going to turn
it back on and take our soapy solution, put it all around here and I'm seeing no bubbles.
Ok, no bubbles at all anywhere. So we're going to test the other fittings the same way.
