On behalf of Expert Village, this is Paul Zuckerman with the cast of Chicago City Limits
here in New York City, and today we're going to show you some techniques for improvisational
comedy. Improvisers don't work with a script, so it's very important that the actors are
listening to each other. Listening isn't just hearing what people say, it's understanding
the intent of what they're trying to say. Your sister called this morning. Bad news
right? You can tell me. Well, I mean, you know. She said that things are okay between....You
don't want to tell me what it is. You're scared to tell me. Well, she's not happy in her marriage,
you know, so she came to me for advice. She always comes to you, doesn't she? I can relate
to what she has to say. Don't you think there is a connection between her unhappiness in
her marriage and how accessible you are to her? The fact is that I want to be more accessible
to her. I want her to have full access, 24/7 kind of access. And you expect me to just
okay that, don't you? You think I'm going to give up everything we have? No, I don't
think so, but I think I am. See ya.
