My course offered me the chance to work hands on with cars and learn how to become a mechanic,
which was great because it meant I'd be doing something different from school and it was
always the job I wanted to get into. The Motor Vehicle facilities in Kempston were really
good to learn in and it was just like a real working garage with stuff like modern diagnostic
tools and cars with different ages to work on. The best thing though was definitely the tutors.
They really treated me with respect and were great fun to work with.
They had all worked in garages too, so had real experience of what they were teaching.
What I really liked was that the teachers got their point across easily. Thanks to my course I'm now working
as a mechanic at a local garage, which is my first job since leaving the College.
I get involved with a lot of job like clutches cam belts and services. It's a really good
first step for me and I couldn't have got there without my course.
