Hi, guys, today's tutorial is gonna be on this one-sided lace braid.
This is inspired by Lauren Conrad.
I've seen loads of pictures of her wearing this hairstyle
as well as, like, other celebrities as well.
But it's so pretty.
It's really, really simple to do for every day
'cause it only takes a few minutes,
and all you're gonna need is a small hair elastic.
So to start off with, I'm gonna pick up
section of hair on the top of my head near the parting.
And I'm gonna split it into three.
So to start off with, we're gonna start as you would a normal braid.
So I'm gonna start with the front section
and pass it over to the middle and then the top section into the middle.
Now to make it a lace braid, it's really similar to a French braid,
but you're only picking up hair with this top section.
So I'm gonna pick up some hair off the head with that
but none from the bottom.
So I'm just gonna pass that over normally.
And then the top section in.
And I'm gonna, again, now with the new section on the top.
I'm gonna pick up some more hair and then just continue it.
So each time, you just wanna be picking up hair off the top.
So I'm just continuing this back until I reach the back of my head.
And now I'm just gonna continue the braid down
just as a normal 3-strand braid.
If you wanted to, you could just pin it at the top there.
But I quite like the look of having a braid down.
So now I'm just gonna tie it off at the bottom
using the hair elastic.
I really love this look. It's so pretty.
And I can definitely remember seeing it originally
when Lauren Conrad wore it in The Hills.
I remember her wearing it quite a lot there.
I really think it's so pretty, and you could wear it
with straight hair like I've got today
or you could do kind of beachy waves or curls in it as well.
That looks so pretty.
So I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial, guys,
this Lauren Conrad-inspired one-sided lace braid.
It's so pretty, it's definitely a go-to style for me
that's just really simple and quick to do for every day.
But, yeah, it's so pretty, and like I say,
once you've got the hang of doing the one side,
so only picking up at the top section for the lace braid, yeah,
it's really quite straightforward.
So let me know in the comments below if you've enjoyed this tutorial.
