Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer, on behalf of Expert Village, and today I'm going to show you how
to change a drumhead and tune the drum. So after hearing the drum, I didn't like how
it sounded, I thought the head sounded still like it still needed to be stretched out a
little bit. So what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and stretch the drumhead
one more time, and usually when I change heads, I usually stretch them out three times, so
we're right on par. But this time we're just going to kind of do the whole thing, and you
can hear it cracking a little bit but not as much as it did the first couple times.
So now I'm just going to just massage it a little bit, and you can tell like this seems
a little bit looser over here than over here, this is definitely tighter, and probably when
I played the snare drum before, over here was a lower pitch than over here. The tighter
the lug, the higher the pitch. Okay, I think we are ready to move on. Let's take a look
at the next step, see where we go from here.
