You believe that somebody in your family died because of medical
malpractice. You need certain information when you call the lawyer's office
up, so that they can properly screen the medical malpractice case.
I'm Guy Dimartino. I am a medical malpractice lawyer. And today I'm gonna
tell you what you need to know.
Because the medical malpractice case is governed by the Florida wrongful
death act, the first question that you are going to be asked is, how old
was the decedent, the person who died? The next question that you're gonna
be asked is, is there a surviving spouse? The next question that you're
gonna be asked, was there any children or dependents that are under 25
years old?
If there is no surviving spouse and no minor children, which are children
under 25 years of age, then you will not have a medical malpractice case in
Florida. So when you call the lawyer's office, you have to be able to
articulate what happened, and answer those questions. Is there a surviving
spouse? Are there children 25 and under?
If you have any questions about a Florida medical malpractice case, you can
always give me a call or visit my website and blog.
Thank you, and have yourself a great day.
