Hello and welcome to Todd's kitchen. Millions of people at at McDonald's daily.
Now did you know most of it can be made at home and far cheaper.
Everyone knows about the bacon and egg McMuffin but theres also the sausage and egg McMuffin which personally
tastes even better. So join me today as i make my version of a sausage and egg McMuffin
To start of with into a bowl we are going to place in half a teaspoon of sage
Half a teaspoon of thyme
A quarter teaspoon of pepper
one teaspoon of onion salt
one teaspoon of garlic salt
A quarter teaspoon of marjoram
And just a pinch of nutmeg
and stir to combine
next we are going to use some mince meat or ground meat
and make a small hole in the middle
then grab about a quarter
teaspoon of our mix
and put it right in the centre
and making sure you have clean hands of course
mix it through
just until it is well combined through out the whole meat
once it is mixed through
place it into a bowl
make up any more then place them in the fridge for a couple of hours
just so the herbs can infuse in the meat
Now i have a fry pan on a medium to high heat
so to that I'm going to add a couple of egg rings
and grease with some cooking spray oil
next grab our patties and place them in the middle
and flatten them out
now the reason why I'm using egg rings is it just keeps the over all shape uniform
Its a presentation tactic
So you don't have to use egg rings for this
it just makes it look that much better
so we are going to cook these on both sides
and it should take you about two to three minutes on the first side
and about the same on the second side
next i have two muffins that i have out through the toaster so they are lightly toasted
so with the top part
just lightly butter that
Then on the bottom place a slice of cheese
So once the meat is cooked
remove the egg ring
and take them of.
next using the same egg rings
just crack in our eggs
Just break up the yolk a little
and cook these for about one or two minutes then flip them over and cook for another one minute
And we simply place our cooked egg on top of the sausage.
And its done.
That was very simple and easy to make and it was also allot cheaper then buying it
from McDonald's. But the big test is, does it taste just like the real one? Lets give it a try.
You know what, if i brought one and made one and tasted them both i honestly don't believe i could tell the difference
It is exactly
like a McDonald's
sausage and egg McMuffin it really really is
But as always there is something better about home made, you know what that is?
When you make it at home it tastes simply delicious.
So give this a go when you have a chance. Its not something you want to have every day
maybe once a week, once a month is perfectly fine
