Brita OB47 Marina Filter Pitcher Hey everyone, Tony the Filter Doctor here.
Today we’re looking at the Brita OB47 Marina Filter Pitcher.
This unit has an eight cup capacity and sort of a retro traditional pitcher appearance.
It features an easy-fill lid, which really makes it easy to fill the reservoir because
you don’t have to remove the entire lid manually every time you do it.
It also has an integrated electronic filter change indicator light. There’s no keeping
track of your filter life on your smart phone or on a sticker on the refrigerator. Simply
press the start button when you put a filter in and the filter change indicator will alert
you when it’s time to change your filter. Now, this pitcher also has a really nice rubberized
comfort grip handle. I really kind of thought this might be kind of gimmicky when I first
read about it on the box, but honestly it really is nice. It feels good in the hand,
it’s grippy, kind of sticky and makes it feel like it’s not going to slip out of
my hand; it just has a nice feel to it. And like all Brita filter pitchers, this unit
uses the OB01, which is also known as the OB03 when purchased in a three pack. This
filter is NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified to reduce lead, mercury, cadmium, zinc, sediment,
and of course, chlorine taste and odor. The unit is about the size of a gallon of
milk so it will fit perfectly in that slot in your refrigerator. This is a great middle
sized pitcher, it’s not the largest capacity pitcher that Brita offers, neither is it the
smallest. It’s right in the middle with that eight cup capacity, and it’s also perfect
for anyone looking for that classic pitcher appearance.
Seriously, doesn’t this thing belong on a picnic table? When I think of a pitcher,
I think of this shape and style. Again, this is the Brita Ob47 Marina Filter
Pitcher, and I’m your host Tony the Filter Doctor.
Thanks for watching.
