Richard: We're behind and lagging in buyers' adoption of mobile devices,
and we are discovering some new techniques and some new approaches to
really get back in track with mobile.
Responsive Web design is really taking off, and, of course, that's the
ability for one set of code to deliver different experiences based on what
device a buyer is using to visit your website.
Alan: So that multi-screen environment, they're not going to be patient
about something being out of register?
Richard: No, they're not. And research kind of shows that they won't give
you a second chance, either. So, you have a very fleeting chance to make a
good first impression.
It's actually why I'm really excited about responsive email design. While
responsive Web design is a term and a technique that's been around for a
little while now, it's possible to use the same techniques to create emails
that look great on any sized screen, as well.
Alan: Really?
Richard: I think, as marketers, we need to be responsive marketers, and
that's about it.
