Capital D. Beginning again with a straight spine. This time, making a little foot on
the spine down there. There's a reason for that, we want to rest that little foot right
on the baseline. Then, I'm going to pull the bowl of the D, which is rather large, out
and connect it with that foot. We make a similar stroke in the upper case L. Again, we're coming
down and across and we're going to make a bowl that comes and connects with it. Not
forgetting that the D has a forward slant, so the D is going to come across this way.
Now, when we look at the space that the D takes up, I want you to notice that there
is a resemblance to the width of the O. Sometimes, we have an idea that if we fit the D into
this space you see that it's very close to having the same width as an O. Somehow in
our heads we have an idea.
