such as hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, canoe paddling, there's multiple boat launches and lakes similar to this throughout the area.
And tons of places to have picnics, and just hang out outdoors, as well as camping of course.
This is a pretty large area. So as you might expect there are many ways to get back in here.
Off of Hwy 77 and Hwy 20 just look for different signs pointing you to the management area.
If you're interested in hunting out here, don't be intimidated by all the different quotas that are offered.

However, many are issued. So go ahead and apply and see what happens.
One thing that this management area offers that most don't, is a specific raccoon hunting season.
Where you can run your dogs and shoot *** at night.
Out here at Econfina, there are plenty of places to fish. There are rivers, several ponds and lakes, small lakes like this...
And, as you can see, there are even white sandy beaches! So you don't have to go all the way to Panama City to get some sun.
If you're out here camping for the weekend and you want to do some swimming, not a bad spot to come and hang out.
The vast majority of this area is planted with slash and sand pines.
But as you can see, efforts are being made to repopulate the area with native longleaf pines.
Most of the un-native trees have been cut down and the trees standing are the longleaf pines.
The roads out here are great. They're super wide and properly mantained and makes for very easy travel.
Please be sure to abide by the speed limits because it's easy to get going faster than you realize.
Canoeing and kayaking are common activities found out here.
