To create a new page in Savvy, first log in to Savvy and navigate to your site or to a
site that is also managed by Savvy.
Then hover over the Savvy tools button in the top left corner of the page, and from
the drop-down menu select 'Site'.
In the new window that appears, select the template that will be used for the new page.
Under 'Page File Name' enter the URL of the page starting with the directories that come
after www.bemidjistate.edu.
In this example, it will be 'academics/departments/biology/test'.
At the end of the URL enter the name of the new page, which is always 'index'. Do not
put the file name at the end of the page name, as Savvy automatically ends .cfm to the end.
After entering the page URL and name, give the page an appropriate title that contains
the meaningful name of the page being created, along with the path back to the university's
website. In this case it is 'Test :: Biology :: Departments :: Academics :: Bemidji State
University'
Once the URL and title of the page is complete, click the create page button. After creating
a new page a link to this page must be made in order for it to be accessible, either on
a currently existing page of your site, or if necessary by asking Web Services to add
a new item to the navigation.
