On most web-connected HP printers, you add and manage print apps from the HP ePrintCenter
web site, located at www.hpeprintcenter.com.
On some web-connected HP printers, you can add and manage print apps from the front panel
display.
If your printer has either a sliding carousel display or a tablet display, see the video,
Managing HP Print Apps From Your HP Printer, for instructions on adding and managing print
apps from your printer.
To use ePrintCenter on your web-connected printer you need to first create an account
on the ePrintCenter web site, and then, add your printer to the account.
If your printer allows you to add and manage print apps from ePrintCenter, and you’ve
added the printer to your ePrintCenter account, you can now use ePrintCenter to add, configure,
or remove print apps, and set the order in which they display.
Future printer firmware updates will allow more HP printers to support these print app
management functions from HP ePrintCenter.
When you have signed in to the HP ePrintCenter, click Get Apps in the upper left of the ePrintCenter
webpage.
The Get More Print Apps page appears, allowing you to browse through and select available
print apps. You can view Featured, Popular, or Newest apps, view by Category, and navigate
through the Print App pages.
To learn more about an app that you might like to add, click the app icon to display
the app's page.
The app page contains a description of the app, its current rating, a section for reviews
of the app, and, if you haven't added the app to your printer yet, it also contains
an Add to Printer button.
If you like what you’ve read about the app, click the Add to Printer button, and the app
is added.
The Add to Printer button is replaced by an Added to Printer indicator, and buttons to
Set up or Remove the app.
If you want the app to appear at the front of the app list on your printer display, click
Mark as favorite.
To email the address of the app page to a friend you think might be interested in the
app, click Email to friend.
All of the print apps installed on your printer are shown in the My Print Apps panel.
To reorder how the apps appear on your printer’s control panel display, drag and drop the apps
in the My Print Apps panel into the order you want them to appear.
To automatically have the print apps you most frequently use appear first on your printer's
control panel display, select Automatically re-order my apps by most used. The display
of apps is automatically reordered.
If you select automatic ordering, you cannot drag and drop to change the ordering of the
print apps.
To remove an app, move the mouse over the app, and click the Remove option in the upper
right corner.
On some printers the app icon won't disappear from the printer display until the display
times-out, goes dark, and then wakes up again.
Some print apps require you to enter set up information such as your postal code and time
zone. You enter this information when you add an app.
But you can modify your settings at any time from the My Print Apps panel. Just click Setup,
beneath the app icon.
A setup window appears, in which you can change the app settings.
If you have questions about how to use ePrintCenter to manage print apps on your web-connected
printer, click the Help button at the top of the ePrintCenter webpage.
On the ePrintCenter home page, the Help links are in the upper right of the page.
Use HP ePrintCenter to browse, install, and configure print apps, and to get FAQ and Help
information for any issues. HP ePrintCenter makes everything simple and easy.
