I have another child who I suspect has ADHD
but she doesn't have the hyperactivity that my son does
but she does have problems with reading in that she,
doesn't remember what she reads or she takes a long time
and she also has trouble with her homework,
getting it organized and getting it turned in on time
and those are often problems that are often seen in ADHD
actually it's good that you mention this because
there are some parents with one child with ADHD and the hyperactivity
and another child, same parents, who has it without the hyperactivity
its not inherited by subtype.
and its quite possible for somebody to have ADHD with no symptoms of impulsivity or hyperactivity
or with just a few
many times people who have ADHD have a hard time remembering what they read
it's like it doesn't stick inside their head
they have to go back and read it again and again, it takes them a long time.
often they have trouble in organizing their work
being able to get the priorities straight and them being able to finish in a reasonable time
all of those are part of the inattention symptoms
its not just a matter or not listening when somebody is talking to you
there’s a whole wide range of problems with problems associated with inattention, organization, remembering
all of that is part of the inattention symptoms of ADD
