Today we're at Legacy Effects and I'm going to have an action figure made.
Legacy has done the visual effects for some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.
Allen Scott, one of Legacy's owners, invited us into their workshop and gave us the grand tour.
Then they sprung into action making our action figures.
They scanned our bodies with lasers to get our proportions just right.
Then they did color and design work with computer mapping tools, working to get each detail perfect.
Then Jason Lopes at Legacy took all that digital information and fed it into their state of the art 3-D Printer.
After the action figures were built, the art department put a little color in my cheeks and touched up my partner's fur.
Finally, voila!
A perfect likeness of me and Duke, in miniature, right down to the Bush's logo on my shirt, and the wag on Duke's tail.
I don't know who was more excited about seeing their own action figure, me or Duke!
Then we went off to film our newest commercial . . .
JAY: Whatcha got there, Duke?
DUKE: Jay and Duke talking action figures. My idea.
JAY: Love it! Let's see what I say...
. . . where I discovered Duke had another trick up his sleeve . . . I mean, if he did have a sleeve
DUKE ACTION FIGURE: The secret family recipe starts with beans and...
JAY: Batteries not included.
DUKE: Aw, you're no fun.
I should've known. But as long as Duke keeps trying to give away Bush's Secret Family Recipe
I'll do everything in my power to make sure it remains a secret.
JAY: Enjoy Bush's Baked Beans...
JAY FIGURE: Still made from our Secret Family Recipe.
