In education news, a book drive assists disadvantaged children of southern Algeria. According to
Magharebia, an online news source of North Africa, the non-profit organization National
Foundation for Health and Research Development (FOREM) organized the project. Books will
be sent to El Menea of Ghardaia Province, where a center has been established. It has
a library and rooms for teaching, reading, drawing, as well as multimedia and Internet
access. The endeavor received enthusiastic support from citizens of all ages around the
country.
Kudos, National Foundation for Health and Research Development and caring Algerians,
for collaborating on this laudable program. May it help bring new vistas of knowledge
and joy to the bright children of El Menea.
