Here's how to fit some security devices to your wall. Firstly, a spy hole. Select a height
to suit the owner. In this case, I'm going to fit it at 1600 mil.
Mark the center of the width of the panel. For this spy hole, I will need a 13-mil spade
bit. Drill through the outer face of the door until the tip of the spade bit just penetrates
the inner skin. Complete the hole by drilling from the other side.
The spy hole comes in two components. I will fit the lens to the outside of the door and
the tube on the inside. There's the spy hole. Now let's fit a security chain. Select your
height, use your square, and mark your horizontal line. Mark the center of your holes. To make
it easier, a good tip is to drill a pilot hole. Now screw the plate to the door.
There you are. Two security solutions. If you have any further questions, come on down
to your local Bunnings Warehouse and a team member will be there to help you.
