Dr. Wendy Stein: When you talk to older people about what’s really important to them, it’s
their ability to interact with their grandchildren, to stay active, pursuing hobbies. For some
of them, some of them are still working.
Patient: I’m doing my own housework, my own laundry, my own everything.
Barbara Fisher: I mean, it’s all about quality of life. It’s all about feeling good. I
mean, we can’t help aging, but you know, we can certainly feel better while we’re
doing it. So if we can keep people healthy and prevent disease, then we’ve succeeded.
That’s the whole focus is, you know, keeping adults healthy.
Dr. Stein: There’s a lot of things I could do. I can’t name too many that would make
me feel the way this makes me feel.
