The Bridgeview Golf Course and Driving Range is owned and operated by Columbus State Community
College. Located at 2727 Agler Road, the course is 10 minutes from downtown Columbus and just
5 minutes from Easton and the Port Columbus airport.
Bridgeview offers a full range of services including a fully stocked Pro Shop and Snack
Bar. The Driving Range is open year-round and offers heated, sheltered tees for practice
in any weather, as well as a grass area for chipping and putting practice.
The 9-hole, par 36 golf course greets golfers with an opening par 3 hole #1. ItÕs a short
hole, which requires a short to mid iron for the golferÕs opening shot. #1 is the ideal
way to ease into the game, but donÕt be fooled, plenty of challenges lie ahead.
Hole #2 is a short par 4 with a slight dog leg and elevated green. Longer hitters will
be tempted to drive it into the narrow landing area, which would offer a short approach shot.
A slightly wayward tee shot will present a side hill lie on either side of the fairway.
Hitting into this narrow, elevated green sets the golfer up for a challenge to a precise
short iron game.
Progressing to Hole 3 takes players to a lengthy straightaway par 4 with a large drop from
the fairway to the green on the approach shot. Both the fairway and green are well guarded
by mature trees, so the premium is on the tee ball to set up for a mid- to short-iron
second shot.
Hole #4 is a straightaway par 3 with trees lining the right side, so hitting the ball
center to slightly left is key. Once you reach the green, youÕll find a subtle slope from
the back left to the right front, making putting from above the pin a challenging task.
#5 takes you midway through a nine-hole game at Bridgeview and presents the test of a short
dog leg par 4. ItÕs drivable for the big hitters who shape their shot to the right.
Shorter hitters will play to the top fairway, leaving a very short approach. But with out-of-bounds
left and more of BridgeviewÕs signature trees on the right, a big number could be looming
if you donÕt play #5 right. The green slopes rather severely from back to front, so leaving
the ball below the pin makes for a better birdie opportunity.
A short par 5, hole #6 mirrors the challenges of #3, placing the premium on the tee ball
and featuring a large drop on the fairway down to the approach to the green. A good
tee ball up the left-hand side makes this par 5 reachable in 2. But with potential trouble
up the right hand side all the way, including a green-side bunker, scoring a birdie takes
sound strategy and skill.
Golfers will drive the ball to an elevated fairway on the scenic, par 4 #7. The hole
moves slightly to the left, so a centered to left-center tee ball will leave a short-iron
approach for most golfers. The green is tucked among several pine trees and drops off severely
on the right-hand side. This large green has little slope, which makes putting a little
easier.
Hole #8 is a great par 5, tipping out to about 560 yards, making it unreachable in two for
most golfers. The hole rolls to the right and downhill all the way to the green. Large
trees also guard the right side, making it difficult to cut off the dog leg. Beware of
the pond that sits in the zone for all second shots. Birdies are uncommon on this hole,
but keeping the ball on the left-hand side yields your best chance for a low number.
The final hole, #9 is an extremely short finishing par 4. No driver needed here, as a shot of
about 200-220 yards is required to leave a short-iron to the green. Your final challenge
on the course includes a hard left turn at about the 100-yard marker. The green sits
along the bank of Alum Creek, providing a picturesque conclusion to your round. But
with large trees all around and 2 bunkers on #9, this hole is anything but a gimme par.
We invite you to enjoy the natural beauty and unique terrain of Bridgeview. One visit
and youÕll discover why itÕs considered by many to be ColumbusÕs hidden golf gem.
