Another garage sale item that is out there a lot that you really need to differentiate
before you start buying and that is comic books. You know comic books in the last ten
to fifteen years, they just crank them out, zillions of them, so they aren’t nearly
going to be as valuable as the ones from the sixties, fifties and forties, those that they
made less copies of and have stood the test of time. So comic books are great to look
for but you don’t want any of the new ones. I don’t care if the cover price is two ninety-five,
three ninety-five, I see them here for a quarter, they are everywhere, I see hundreds and thousands
of them, I can’t practically give them away. So don’t buy any comic books, the only comic
books I would recommend are the comic books whose cover price is twenty cents or less.
Okay, this one is thirty-five, this one is a little collectible because it is the Bionic
Woman that is now on TV again, and that one is thirty-five cents so that is a little bit
newer so, see this one sells for eight dollars but it is in great condition. Here is where
you go, twenty-five cents or less. This is what they call a silver comic, this is from
my period, a twelve center, these are the ones that you want to look for. Twenty centers
and twelve centers, I wouldn’t buy anything that is much newer than that. Here is a Superman,
it is a seventy-five center probably worth two dollars, this one probably is probably
worth twenty dollars so when you are looking for comic books, keep to the low cover prices.
That’s all.
