Hi I'm Beth from RL Food Testing. Many of our customers often ask us, What is
Nutritional Analysis and do I need to get it for my food product in order to get a nutrition
facts panel label made? Well in most cases your nutritional labeling
needs can be done using a data-based software analysis; however, sometimes laboratory analysis
is necessary. So let's take a look at some examples of when
lab testing would be needed. Because of their complex nature these types
of foods commonly need laboratory analysis: fermented products such as a beer or wine;
or complex recipes that are brined or marinated such as a beef jerky; or brewed product such
as a coffee or tea. During your initial conversation, our specialist
will be able to advise you of whether or not you need laboratory testing for your food
product. When submitting your product for testing,
you will need to ship at least a half of pound of finished product to our lab, either Fedex
or UPS, either overnight or two day air. If your product is refrigerated, then please
include sufficient amount of cold packs to keep it cool. And please no glass containers.
We will email you a form. Please print the completed form and include it in with your
samples. Then you'll make your payment on our secure
website. The turnaround time is 25 business days approximately
from the time that we receive your samples at our lab.
So, if you have any questions or are ready to please your order, just give us a call
or email us. We're standing by 7 days a week. Thank you.
